About Me

My name is Matthew Reeves.

I became a therapist and rehabilitation counselor later in life. My own therapy helped me learn how my identities (a gay man who grew up in a non-affirming community and a person living with a disability) are assets which can be harnessed for confidence, connection, hope, and happiness. I then discovered that helping others find these same traits is both personally and professionally fulfilling.

After earned my master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University (the CRC degree is essentially identical to Mental Health Counseling, but with added training to work with people living with disability or chronic illness). I now own and operate Integral Mental Health Services full-time.

I live in Atlanta with my partner and our adorable dog. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, technology, trivia, travel, and food.

It's a privilege that I am now doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.

I am licensed in Georgia as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor #014395) and certified nationally as a CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor #521727).
